New beginnings

It’s been well over a year since my last post. Well, ┬álet me tell you, a lot has happened in that time. Adoption and a house move have left me veg patch free and completely preoccupied with seemingly more important things. However, now things are starting to settle down, it’s time to start another chapter of our lives, and get ourselves back on track. Of course, this means getting back into growing our own vegetables, and hopefully getting our son interested in it too. December saw the new greenhouse go up (definately not as big as the one in Wales ), and very slowly I got organised. I put electricity in there so I can have a heated propagator( as I am impatient) and so, the sowing begins.

The raised beds are just waiting for enough compost to fill them for the seedlings. It’s just a case of deciding what I am going to grow. This isn’t very difficult because of all the seeds I had accumulated previously. There is just the problem of knowing if they will actually germinate, as most of them are out of date. In my reckoning, if I sow enough of them, I’ll get enough to germinate. It’s always an experiment.

So, lots to do, and I can’t wait!
