A delicious side that can accompany any number of main meals, Kohl Rabi is so easy and quick to grow and tastes fantastic in this home-made slaw. It’s like a mild radish flavour, but has a lighter texture, and is surprising delicious eaten raw while preparing the slaw.
Ingredients 2 small Kohl Rabi from the veg patch - peeled, and chopped into match sticks 1 carrot coarsely grated on a cheese grater Half a small apple cored and coarsely chopped 3 tablespoons of mayonnaise Half a teaspoon of mustard powder Method After chopping all the ingredients, mix them in a large bowl. In a separate bowl mix the mayonnaise and mustard powder together . Once thoroughly mixed, spoon it onto the slaw mixture and stir well. Add a good helping of pepper and a touch of salt to taste. If you want, you can add crushed walnuts for an extra added crunch. Delicious!
